Aloha from Boring, Oregon

Yep... really the name of the town where I live now.

I was born and raised on O`ahu, and though I miss home desperately, I do love Oregon, especially now, in the Springtime.

I've been a Christian for many years and my hubby and I attend a very small church in Clackamas. I find that the way I best connect with God in worship is singing songs in Hawaiian; there's just nothing like it. Of course, I'm the only one who knows them in Hawaiian, but that's okay. I do lots of singing in the shower and along with my CD's.

I'm on staff at http://www.alohaworld.com, have a blog at http://www.hawaiistories.com/mokihana and participate at Hawaiithreads.

I'm delighted to find this kind of forum that connects believers and has a local flavor.

Hi Mokihana. I've been reading your online journal at HawaiiStories for some time. I'm glad you've joined us here. Where'd you go to school? :)

It's a bit slow lately, which is mostly my fault, but I have some plans for increasing the traffic here. Please feel free to jump in and have at it.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
