I'll Go First

Postby scrivener » Thu Jul 14, 2005 3:00 pm

I'm thirty-six and a teacher at a local private high school, where I teach English, algebra II, computers, and yearbook.

Grad:
Hawaii Baptist Academy c/o 1987
University of Hawaii at Hilo B.A. in English, 1995 (yes, it took eight years!)

Church: Pali View Baptist, but I confess my attendance has been spotty lately.

What about you?
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.

Aloha! I'm 1st wahine! Mom of three soldiers, Grandma to Antonio and I take care of my 81 yr. old MAMA too. I've been a widow for ten years this coming January. My husband of twenty years died of Lou Gerigh's Disease at the age of 47. I graduated from KCC Office Technology/Computer Communications in 1995. We sold our family resturant, "Benny's" in Chinatown last September. My three children were in war zones at one time. Ok, that says a little about me!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO SCRIVENER ON HIS WONDERFUL AND BLESSED SITE!

What a wonderful idea for a discussion forum. Thanks for setting this up!

Here's a little bit about me...

I'm 32, currently working in Information Technology. Some of what I do includes developing and conducting computer training courses, software support, multimedia (photography, videography, video editing), vendor management, pushing paper, and a bunch of other interesting tasks that get tossed my way. I totally love my job.

I graduated from Leilehua High School, class of 1991. I'm still trying to finish up my IT degree at University of Phoenix.

I attend Hope Central in Mililani.

Doggone it. Why did the software let you post as a guest, Lynn? I thought I set it not to permit that. Guess I gotta go fix it.

I'm really excited to be here, but I'll try to keep my intro brief. :D

I'm 37, graduated from Sacred Hearts Academy in 1986, then UH-Manoa in 1993. I just resigned from my job so I'm "at home" for awhile. I thought I'd have all this free time, but feel even busier than before.

I've been married for twelve years and have two wonderful children.

We recently began attending Kaneohe Church of the Nazarene, but were previously at a mega-church for fifteen years.

Love the site.
I'm the pastor of a small church--married, one spouse; four kids.

Graduated from Waianae High - 85
B.A. in Communication, UHM, '93--though I took a year off so it only took me seven years to finish instead of a whopping eight.
MDiv, Beptist Theological Seminary at Richmond, '97

Nice to have you here, Partyofsix!

Is your church in Waianae? And how long have you been a pastor? What a wonderful calling! Pastors truly are the most special people. I really miss mine!

Happy Pastor's Appreciation Month :D

I look forward to seeing you around here.

Hello

Postby macpro » Thu Feb 02, 2006 9:33 pm

I registered for this board in September or October 2005, lost my password and only now got another one and posted something here. Some of you know me from other boards.

I am mostly interested in media and conservative politics.

During the day I am an administrative paper pusher -- in the night I spend way too much time in front of my computer.

I'll probably spend a lot of time reading and perhaps learning something. Will reply when appropriate.

Aloha and God Bless.
