What Have you Been up to?

...since the last time we hung out here and chatted?

I've been working on my M.Ed. at Hawaii Pacific, and it's been KILLING me, since I'm still also a full-time teacher. My thesis was supposed to be done in August, but NOBODY in my cohort finished the paper, so now I'm trying to get it done before I return from Christmas break in January. It is NOT going to be a fun Christmas season for me!

It's so great to see HawaiiBeliever back online! Thanks, Scrivener, for your hard work to resurrect it!

As for me, I've been dealing with in vitro fertilization "stuff" since we last chatted.

I'm heading into my frozen embryo transfer procedure on January 4, 2008. Much prayers needed!

In case you don't know, Donna's been logging her in vitro escapades here. Be warned, though, that she's not at ALL bashful! :)

My teacher punned when he gave me my "refuge name" ... punning in Tibetan; who knew?!

We had talked many times before he accepted me as his student ... I'd say I was checkin' him out, but *shrug ... so we came to share a vernacular. Him, aristocratic from before the Chinese tumbled Tibet (Since the US has tumbled as many govts as anybody, it's a knee-jerk topic ... 10% of 10% can barely focus on it) and me middle-class from N'n Alberta with a long-distant appreciation of N'n EU.

He punned on "dharma". Since few can even relate to "teachings", well, the pun is huh huh "self-secret".

Someone here understands "to hold the seed"? I do. From N'n Alberta. He does. From north of Sikkim. Do you? huh huh ... so ... to speak of reality to those who know neither surf nor fish, neither tree nor nut? *grin* ok.fine

What's the root of teachings? What's foundational to understanding? Why do you care about anything at all?

4th world wisdom ... if that means nothing to you, is there anything to talk about?

Wow, WillowBear. I don't think I understood a word of that!

Aloha Scrivener and mahalo nui for raising this forum from the ashes. Hmmm, what have I been up to? Just about the same as before... Work, family life, Worship Team. I had a little health challenge with a bad case of sciatica but praise God for His healing and His people who prayed for me. God is great!
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
